The iTero is an essential diagnostic tool for ORA’s tech-forward clinical approach. The iTero scan takes only a few minutes and with the Time Lapse feature we can monitor changes over time regarding a variety of dental and periodontal conditions such as tooth movement, tooth wear, gum recession and cavities between teeth.
Tooth Movement
Approximately 75% of adults have some degree. of malocclusion, or imperfect tooth positioning. With iTero’s Time Lapse feature we can observe tooth movement over time and if needed use Invisalign to address the problem.
Tooth wear
Grinding your teeth during sleep (bruxism) combined with an unbalanced bite causes tooth wear. With iTero Time Lapse we can track tooth wear between dental visits and recommend night guards to prevent further tooth damage.
